Our Work

27 years old Fatima from Kuwait City says about our work:

My front teeth remained undeveloped and I was really unhappy about my smile. I was so glad to see what can be done when my husband's sister came back from Prague with her new beautiful teeth and recommended the Brandeis Clinic.

I immediately planned the consultation with Ondrej Klika M.D. for the beffining of March 2016. He first recommended Plazma Zoom3 teeth whitening. During the second visit the doctor grinded my front undeveloped teeth. I had a local anesthesia so I didn’t feel any pain. I got new veneer and one crown in only one hour thanks to the Cerec CAD/CAM technology.

Look at my new smile!

About the Treatment

Ceramic Veneers - Minimally Invasive Teeth Restoration

Ceramic veneers are an aesthetic ceramic plates covering the front surfaces of teeth. The teeth must be free of decay. Prior to an applying veneers it is often necessary to whiten and repair the teeth. The color of facets should be bright and the same as the color of natural teeth.

A very small amount of the tooth enamel must be removed before applying a veneer, in most cases less than a millimeter.

Indication

  • Extreme discolorations such as devitalized teeth or teeth darkened from age
  • Chipped or fractured teeth
  • Small gaps between the teeth
  • Too short anterior teeth
  • Rotated teeth or overlaps
  • Teeth that resist whitening

The Advantages of Ceramic Veneers

Unlike natural teeth, ceramic veneers resist coffee and tea stains, and cigarette smoke. Your natural teeth remain largely intact. They look very natural and are a very good way to change the shape and color of the teeth as well as close spaces or correct rotated teeth.

Contraindication

  • No enamel is present
  • Certain tooth-to-tooth habits such as bruxing or clenching, pencil chewing or ice crushing

The Difference Between Lumineers and Porcelain Veneers

The main difference is that Lumineers are made from a special patented porcelain that is very strong and could be much thinner than other fabricated veneers. Lumineers can be placed on the teeth without removal of the tooth enamel, therefore it is a reversible procedure. Lumineers can be placed only on teeth that are in good structural condition.

Dental ceramic crowns - Damaged Teeth Restoration in One Day

The dentist can not use veneers or lumineers if the teeth are too damaged and if a patient has little or no enamel. In this case a full crown should be considered. Placing crowns is more invasive than placing veneers.

Indication

  • Weak tooth that needs to be held together
  • Extremely discolored tooth
  • Misshapen or severely discoloured teeth

Treatment Description

First the dentist examine the tooth to make sure that it can support a crown. Then the tooth is grinded with local anesthesia to be prepared for the crown. Thanks to CAD/CAM system CEREC® you can expect fast and high quality outcome during one visit.

The crown is cemented with a permanent cement or dental glue. With Cerec our dentists make up to 20 teeth per day.

Discomfort After the Treatment

After the procedure, when the anesthesia has worn off, the patient may feel some sensitivity or soreness, because of slightly damaged gums around the tooth. The pain is minimal and shouldn't last long.
